Hampton Roads Virginia Chapter No. 39 was founded in 1960.

Jurisdiction
The territorial jurisdiction of Chapter No. 39 shall be: the Virginia Hampton Roads region including, but not limited to, the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Gloucester, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg, and the counties of Accomack, Matthews, Middlesex, Northumberland, Southampton, Surry, Sussex, and York.

Five Star Chapter

Hampton Roads Virginia Chapter No. 39 of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®), one of 90 IREM® chapters worldwide, received high honors in the IREM® Chapter Star Recognition Program. Since 2006, Chapter No. 39 has consecutively earned this prestigious award. The program honors IREM® chapters for providing valuable member services and programs. It awards points for specific activities based on criteria that define effective, successful chapters; some activiites are required, others are elective. Based on the total points earned, chapters can achieve One, Two, Three, Four, or Five Star Status.
